Yes. SkyTab POS is now called Shift4 Dine. It's the same system from the same company, with the same support.
How do pre-authorized tabs stop walkouts?
When a guest opens a tab, Dine places a hold on their card. If they leave without closing out, the tab can still be settled against that card, so the round is never lost.
Can I pass card processing fees to my customers?
Usually, yes. Shift4 offers dual pricing, which shows a cash price and a card price, plus cash-discount options. Dual pricing and cash discounts are generally allowed in all 50 states. Straight surcharges have card-network caps, and a few states ban or limit them. Your Shift4 specialist will set it up the compliant way for your state.
What does it cost?
